Storytelling contest

My friend and colleague over at CasaCaudill posted about a great contest her client, Fuze Meeting, is putting on.  Like Becky, I rarely post about work (especially about clients) but this was too good to ignore.

Why, you ask?  Reason # 1 – the contest seeks your best story (in 30 slides or less).  Reason #2 – the prizes are ridiculous.  These days, who couldn’t use $5,000, which just happens to be the grand prize!  Other prizes include an iPhone and iTunes gift cards for the four additional category winners.

See Becky’s post below for contest details.

Good luck!

we bloggers are the best storytellers

I try not to write about work here because I like to keep private and professional separate, but that’s a tall order when you’re a Type A overachiever who spends more time at the office than you do at home.  Thankfully, I have the type of job where every once in awhile I can post something that will get more than the team I manage excited.

In this case, I want to tell y’all about a storytelling contest my new client Fuze Meeting launched today, in conjunction with with Slideshare.net.  In a nutshell, the contest seeks your best story in 30 slides or less.

FUZE MEETING TELL A STORY CONTEST

Obviously, I’m going through the official PR channels to get the word out about this contest.  But then I started thinking about the unofficial channels – the people who read this blog.  Most of you are bloggers and as we all know, our blogs are all about telling a story.

Whether it’s that decrepit money pit you’ve remodeled, that 150-bike ride from one state to another, the 3 marathons you ran in the last 2years, that 6 country vacation you just got back from, that Bay to Breakers float you spent weeks putting together … or just about anything – you all know how to tell a story.

Why should you enter?  One reason: $5,000 grand prize.  Okay, four additional reasons: an iPhone and iTunes gift card for 4 category winners.

CONTEST DETAILS:

  • Categories/Prizes: Grand Prize (Best Overall) will receive $5,000. Category winners for Best Design, Best Story Telling Ability, Most Popular and Best Use of Multimedia will receive an iPhone and $100 iTunes card. All entrants will receive a free Fuze Meeting account for a year
  • Start Date: Tuesday, May 26
  • End Date: Monday, June 15
  • Winners Announced: June 29, 2009

Categories include:

  • Best Design
  • Best Story Telling Ability
  • Most Popular
  • Best Use of Multimedia

Oh, and if you want to tell YOUR blog readers about the contest, I’d really appreciate it.  The 3 bloggers that drive the most entries will win an iPhone and iTunes gift card too – so spread the word!

And thanks!  I appreciate you entering and your help in getting the word out.
